Artist's Comments

...'The Last Airbender' 2010 cast.

I'm sorry - I really couldn't resist. This is just about the lamey-est, crappy sketch and coloring, and I'll probably scrap it later.

Noah Ringer as Aang, Jesse McCartney as Zuko, Jackson Rathbone as Sokka, and Nicola Peltz as Katara.
Shyamalan, lolwhut were you thinking?

[edit] Forgot to add in a few details.

[edit] - Wow, I did not expect this many views or faves! (I kind of thought this was a bit of a crappy sketch...)

Anyway - my views on the movie -

As fun as this is to make fun of, I still think the movie is going to be great. The actors for Katara and Sokka, although white, do look like they could be related, and, just based on their photos, they seem to fit the parts, (in my opinion.) Nicola Peltz seems a bit more genuine, and Jackson Rathbone, (despite bad reviews of his performance in 'Twilight' ), certainly looks the part, and, who knows? He may quite possibly have a chance to redeem himself in this role.
The actor chosen for Aang, Noah Ringer, is an unknown, and was chosen based upon his martial arts skills. Other than that, nothing else is really known about him.

I'm not too happy about Jesse McCartney. Everyone is just throwing up such a fuss about it, though, that it's disgusting me. Even though his music may totally suck, he is a fairly decent actor. I haven't really kept up with his career, but, nevertheless, this casting shouldn't be taken so harshly. I mean, heck, he's a human being, not a robot.

The movie is still going to be amazing - I mean, realistic Bending! I can't wait to see how they innovate with the elements. The location selections are perfectly chosen, as a lot of them were the original inspirations for the scenery in the show. Also, it's been pointed out that James Newton Howard is going to be composing the score for the film. (He's composed the soundtracks for most of Shyamalan's films.) Even if it's a flop, (which I doubt), there is still always the amazing animation and characters of the original show to fall back on.

I’m just going to wait and see how everything turns out.

I'm not too miffed about it - I actually think the actors for Katara and Sokka were fairly good chioces. It's just a lot of fun to make fun of. :XD:

I actually had a bit of trouble seeing that girl as Katara... but I suppose I'll get used to it.
I REALLY want to see a picture of that Noah guy...

It's only a tentative decision, and I'm sure Mike and Bryan won't let things get too out of hand.

Lol, I agree - who is this mysterious Noah kid? :D
